Digital Goa, June 20- Goa is now on the innovation map of India, claimed CM Dr Pramod Sawant . He announced plans to set up a Global Capability Center and a Center of Excellence in AI and Machine Learning. New State Data Centers will be established to provide secure, scalable infrastructure for e-governance, GIS mapping, and delivery of essential government services, he informed. An AI-based chatbot will be introduced on the Goa Online portal to assist citizens in accessing the 270 government services available on the platform, he added. Sawant said that Goa has 635 DPIIT-recognised startups, with 281 certified under the State’s IT Promotion Cell, and financial assistance of Rs 3.92 crore has been disbursed to 147 startups so far. He was speaking at the Goa Open Innovation Challenge 2025 – Market Access Expo. The challenge focused on mentorship, market access, and momentum for startups, he said.
