Digital Goa, June 22 – Former Arts and Culture Minister Govind Gaude today hit out at a few senior BJP leaders and a section of the media in his first public rally since his unceremonious ouster from the cabinet. Addressing a well-attended meeting at Marcel this evening, Gaude said that if he was dropped from the cabinet based on purported allegations created by the media—without any investigation—it implies that the party assumed those allegations to be true. He also took a dig at BJP State President Damu Naik, without naming him, for “making statements against him without understanding the issue”. Gaude added that some of his detractors were spreading rumours about him quitting the BJP. However, he firmly asserted that he will remain with the party to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
