Digital Goa, June 30 – River Navigation Department (RND) has sought government confirmation to begin operations of two Ro-Ro ferries on the busy Ribandar–Chorao route, with services likely to commence within the next 8 to 10 days. This was informed by RND Director Vikramsinh Rajebhosale. The Ro-Ro ferries will operate from 7 am to 9 pm daily, while three regular ferries will be deployed post 9 pm. Each Ro-Ro ferry can carry up to 16 cars and 40 two-wheelers per trip. Chorao villagers met the director today with their queries regarding the ferry operations. Local pedestrians and two-wheelers will be able to travel free of cost. Four-wheelers will be charged Rs 30 per trip, or Rs 15 with a pass. Rent-a-cars will pay Rs 100 per trip, tourist owned vehicles Rs 300, and tourists taking joy rides will be charged Rs 50 per day. Pass system will be implemented through RND developed mobile app. A monthly pass with unlimited trips will cost Rs 900
