Digital Goa, 6 July – Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out searches at eight premises in Goa and Pune on July 4 as part of a money laundering probe linked to an illegal land grabbing case in Socorro, North Goa. The case involves John Paul Valles, Sandeep Vazarkar, and others, who as per ED, allegedly conspired to fraudulently grab a 5,000 sq meter ancestral property by creating fake inventory documents and selling the land through a forged Power of Attorney. ED seized documents, electronic devices, and evidence of suspicious cash transactions during the searches. Investigations are ongoing to trace the proceeds of crime.
