Digital Goa, July 17 – Goa Department of Agriculture has amended its State Sector Scheme “Assured Price for Agriculture Produce” to revise the assured price of paddy. As per the new notification, the assured price for paddy will now be set at Rs 2 above the Minimum Support Price (MSP) announced by the Central Government at the beginning of each cropping season. Farmers will receive financial assistance for up to 15,000 kg of paddy per season, at the rate of 5,000 kg per hectare, provided they sell a minimum of 100 kg to authorized agencies. This amendment will be applicable for Rabi 2024-25 produce, with assistance payable from April 1, 2025. All other provisions of the earlier notifications remain unchanged.
