Digital Goa, June 30 – The accused in Dhargalim chemical attack case, has confessed to the crime and claimed that his act was triggered by grief and anger over his daughter’s recent death. Goa Police informed that Nilesh Gajanand Dessai (46), a resident of Dabiwadi Kalane, Dodamarg, admitted to attacking the 17-year-old boy with the chemical, suspecting him to be involved in his daughter’s death, which is currently being investigated by Sindhudurg Police as unnatural death. According to police, Dessai claimed that the victim was in a relationship with his daughter, and blamed him for her death which occurred a month ago. He allegedly sourced the chemical used in the attack from the company he works at in IDC Karaswada, where he was apprehended. The two-wheeler used in the crime has also been seized. The victim boy has suffered grievous burn injuries and is being treated at GMC Hospital.
