Digital Goa, July 3 – The Goa government has permitted women workers to work in shops and establishments between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., subject to specific safety measures. As per a notification issued under the Goa Shops and Establishments Act, 1973, night work for women will be allowed only with their written consent. Employers must provide safe pick-up and drop-off transport, install CCTV cameras in work areas, and ensure a secure and healthy work environment.
