Digital Goa, August 22 – The Goa government will introduce a new draft State Taxi Policy by September 10 to address the concerns raised by taxi operators. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, speaking to the media after a meeting with taxi operators and the Leader of the Opposition, stated that the new draft will replace the existing controversial policy that permitted cab aggregators. He assured that the revised policy will protect the interests of local taxi operators while ensuring transparency and security for tourists. The meeting was attended by ministers, as well as ruling and opposition MLAs. The CM added that all issues raised by taxi operators were discussed in detail and that the new draft will cater to the needs of all segments of traditional taxi operators in the state.
