Digital Goa, July 14 – Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has made it clear that only food processing industries will be permitted at the Latambarcem Industrial Estate. “We have received several proposals for other types of industries, including a crusher unit, but I have personally rejected them,” he said. We don’t want to spoil the entire industrial estate, he asserted. CM emphasized that the estate is exclusively designated for food processing units and no other industries will be allowed. He was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of a ₹60 crore, 10 MLD water treatment plant at Mencure, Bicholim. The plant, to be completed within a year, will be operated and maintained by KNK Projects Pvt Ltd for the next five years.
